Multi-Use for Parents and Photographers!
These are my daughter’s favorite blankets! We’ve had them from birth and my toddler is still in love with hers! Now I buy them for all my new mommy friends!When I was pregnant I decided not to buy any because they were expensive, and I had received a ton of blankets at my baby shower. But I received in a big bag of hand-me-downs from a friend and since then it has been a favorite. When I received it, it had been used previously for about a year and it still looked almost new. We’ve had it for over 18 months now and it is still going strong with no stains or tears!We live in Florida and its humid and hot here almost all year round, so lightweight blankets are a must for swaddling. I used this even in the winter layered with some of her other blankets because her A&A one was her favorite. When she was too old to swaddle (she didn’t really like it once she learned that her legs could do entertaining things), she liked to hold it and sometimes teethe on the edge, which never frayed even after she got some teeth. Then she started daycare and she took it with her every day for naptime. Since she’s been talking she calls it her “beetie”, she has no names for her other blankets. She isn’t super attached to it like some kids are to their blankets or other lovies, but this one definitely has a special place in her heart compared to the others. I find myself washing it more often, and if I ask her which blanket she would rather have, she chooses the same one every time. We’ve used it to block the sun while she napped in her stroller or carseat, its caught tons of spit up, and we’ve laid it on the floor or ground for her to play on.I eventually did buy some when I was asked to photograph a friend’s newborn baby. I had seen somewhere that someone had bought a bunch of A&A blankets and used them as backdrops for newborn photos and I decided to do the same. They were perfect. The colors are just muted enough to provide a backdrop that won’t steal the attention from the baby, but they are adorable enough to compliment the theme of the photos. I got a 4 pack at Target during a sale and have never regretted it. The pictures were too sweet, the mom was thrilled, and I had 4 new A&A blankets! They are small so they don’t take up a lot of room like a big backdrop might. I found a ton of different ways to use them in the pictures, and I only had 4!In short, these blankets are comfy, lightweight, durable enough to use for multiple kids, way bigger than your average flannel receiving blanket (so they can swaddle baby as they grow, and eventually use as regular blanket), and have multiple uses. These are 100% worth every penny.

Soft, cute, and light
I purchased these on sale for $29.99 or something like that, which ended up being about $7.50 a swaddle. This seemed like a good deal, and they are so cute and beautiful and light (not too hot for summer!). The muslin is a good quality and not scratchy and gets softer with the wash. With the particular set I got, the pink is a little more peachy than I thought it was going to be, but it is still so cute!

The best $30 swaddling blanket.
When I was looking to purchase swaddling blankets for my newborn baby girl, I thought spending $35 for 4X blankets is a little too much given these are muslin blankets meant for summer months. I was dead wrong.Luckily I got these as presents from a friend. And boy, these are the best baby gifts I got.Pros:1. Large enough to swaddle a 8lb baby easily.2. Very durable (I wash them almost 3 times a week). Given they are muslin one would imagine they would apart with heavy use. Nope.3. Very breathable. Surprisingly this feature of this product is useful not only during sweaty, hot summer months, but also applicable in fall and winter. We all have heating on in our houses in winter. So one really doesn’t need heavy flannel swaddling blankets. One needs breathable blankets.4. Very absorbing. My baby had severe GERD and for the first month, spit-up after almost every other feeding. And these blankets soaked up in no time. I would spread them around her during feeding time in case she spit-up.5. Very lightweight. Easily tucks into the stroller seat when we go for walks. Sure I put a heavy blanket on top if it is cold.6. Does not stain easily. May be because they are muslin, they don’t stain, not even with all those spit-ups. I do wash them briefly by hand if they have spit-ups before throwing them into the washer.Cons:Surprisingly can’t think of any. $35 for 4X swaddle blankets is a little expensive, but worth every penny.I already bought a set to give away as gifts. From now onwards, I plan to give them as baby-shower gifts.

Great size, great weight, great product!
Fabulous sized swaddles, and just the right thickness for my April baby. The new mom was so in love with these that she would do laundry when they all got dirty rather than using the other flannel swaddles we were given (they just couldn’t get a secure swaddle!). After about a week, we had to order a second set.I was able to achieve a very secure swaddle without limiting her pelvic mobility by squaring her up to an edge (rather than going diagonally), swaddling arms as normal, and then bringing the bottom edge up and tying it around her. Due to the size and weight of the swaddle, I was able to square knot it with room for her to kick until about 10 lbs/8 weeks.We have used them for other purposes such as a nursing cover and mat when we put her down in public areas. The white ones make for great backdrops for photography due to their large size and slight texture. However, their usefulness steeply decreased after we stopped swaddling, and I only have one out of storage at 5 months old. No regrets, though!Note: The yellow giraffes are cute, but are almost exactly the same color as breast fed baby poop, making it difficult to distinguish design from blowout at a glance. It made me anxious every time I used it. The bees are the same color, but the black boarder around them made is easy to distinguish what was clean and what was dirty.

Joyful wraps!
I got the “farm to table” set and honestly they bring me so much joy when I wrap up my little newborn. Such cute patterns! The wraps are large enough to do a really good swaddle. My only complaint is that, after washing, the muslin fabric seemed to get scratchier. Still love them and would recommend.

So versatile

Scratchy!
I wanted to love these. Bought the “Damsel” color pack. Are they pretty? Yes. Are they soft? Not at all. I was also gifted the “Tanzania” pack, but the two sets are quite different. Even after washing in cold water and dying on low heat, they were both scratchy. I then decided to try to wash them again hoping it would soften them. This time I used warm water and medium heat to dry. The odd part: the Tanzania set did what you’d expect from muslin cotton – they all shrunk and came out with a fluffier waffle texture. That itself makes it feel a bit softer and definitely stretchier. But the Damsel set wouldn’t shrink much at all… almost no effect. They’re still scratchy. I can only assume this is due the the amount of dye used for the Damsel set (even though the sand color blanket in the Tanzania set shrunk significantly?!?). Idk. Even with the shrinking, the fabric itself for either pack is just not soft. I don’t understand why people love these muslin swaddle blankets. They feel like sandpaper.

Best swaddle blankets
I first used this brand of swaddlers about 8 years ago when I was working at a preschool. One of the children used it for his blanket when napping. Us teachers were so impressed how thin and lightweight they were but warm/cool enough too. The infant classroom teachers decided to buy 3 sets for their room. I myself ever since have gifted a set of swaddlers to expecting mothers I know. This set will be gifted to a couple who are first time parents that own a farm in SW Florida. Baby can be swaddled and carried around the farm outside and his parents won’t have to worry about him being too hot in the Florida Summer heat.

Good blankets but…
They are super nice and comfortable but they do not wash super well. My baby has bad reflux and spits up so much during the day and have to wash them constantly and they over stretch and don’t fold back the right way. Other than that they are nice to have on baby outside on warm days to keep sun and bugs away without getting overheated

Multifunctional.
Any time you panic just grab one of this it will help. The only thing is as a swaddle it’s not helpful in my case. It’s too soft for the baby, easy to open/unwrap it. And it doesn’t make the baby feel comfortable in it. It’s better to get cotton material swaddles. By the way, this ones can be used as towels after the bath for a newborn skin. I use several, since they get wet faster. But I prefer them, than the regular baby towels. I just wrap the baby with a regular ones at the end to feel warm. I use this ones as a blanket too.

Let me just say, I live in hawaii and it gets real hot in the summer. These swaddle blankets were a life saver when I came home from the hospital with a hot, sweaty crying newborn. My baby will be a year old in 2 weeks, and we still use these EVERYDAY. The more you wash them, the softer they get. Here are all the different ways I use them :As an infant swaddle blanket. They stay cool when hot, and keep them warm when a little chilly.As a sunshade to cover to carseat or stroller. Also protects from the wind. My baby is fair-skinned, so I cover his little legs when we go for walks in the afternoon. At the beach I would drape it over the carseat so the sand wouldn’t blow in his face.As a sheet-blanket, in the crib since I stopped swaddling him. They are totally breathable so you don’t have to worry about their little faces getting covered.As a comfort item for him to sleep with, ride in the car with, and he loves to chew or suck on the ends. I figured it was better than a specific doll or toy, since these are replaceable, and now he totally associates them and calms down when it nap time. I am expecting another baby in a few months, and I am sure these will last a very long time. Worth every penny and then some.

Best muslin blanket there is!
I LOVE this bread! It is my go to baby shower gift.I have 3 kids 5 and under. I got this set for my new born and my almost 2 year old keeps taking it because it has Mickey on it. He has always had one of there blankets and refuses to go to bed until he has one he loves them so much. The next day he takes it with him. My 5 year old still takes one of hers that she got as an infant to child care for naps. They are all just as nice now as they were when we got them.I got a different brands set for a baby shower gift for my oldest and hands down this brand is 100 times better. It is bigger and softer than any other brands I was given. First pic is the clean ones. Second is my sons bed and all the ones he sleeps with and the third is my daughters bed.

You need these – so many uses!
Do yourself a favor and have at least 8 of these! At first I wasn’t sure what we would do with these because they seemed too big and too thin. Then we started using them and ordered more for us and order some for all of our friends.These are great! They are great for swaddling, burp cloths, blankets, nursing covers, and anything else you think you could use it for. The size may seem a little large – but the size is what makes it so versatile. If you have a little one that is spitty and don’t think the “little burp cloths” do anything – these will become your best friend! My husband and I can’t go anywhere without at least 2 of these with us. I’ve used these a nursing cover when in public – it is lightweight enough to not be too hot for mom or baby, and big enough to lay over mom and baby and still be able to tuck it around mom so it stays put during feeding.Highly, highly recommend!

I bought these as a gift but have also received aden+anais swaddle blankets as gifts myself. At first I didn’t understand what the fuss was about b/c I really didn’t use them to swaddle my baby and he was born in January so it was super cold out and these were too thin to use as a blanket. As a swaddle, I don’t love them – they tend to be too stretchy and even though my husband was a far better swaddler then me, our son would break out of these really easily. But as an all purpose light blanket, they are great. They really are multi-purpose – used to cover my baby on a slightly chilly day, put down on the carpet so he can play, used to shield him from the sun when I am holding him and its really bright out. And of course they are super cute! I think its a great gift and having one set of four is probably worth the purchase. I haven’t tried competitors brands that are probably cheaper, so they may do the job just as well!

Colors a little off
Definitely not cheap muslin but the colors are a little different than the pictures, the pink print is much brighter in person, while the purple is a little more blue or periwinkle colored than the purple in the ad. They are absolutely beautiful regardless and packages perfectly, etc. photos taken infront of natural light.

This is my second order from Aden + Anais. I am absolutely in love with their 44×44 receiving blankets. I can use them to cover up if I’m nursing, as a blanket for my baby to lay on if we’re at the park, or just about anything. I live in Florida so it gets pretty hot here. I love how breathable the material is. I tell all of my mom’s friends about their products. I am sure I will order more.Update (2022): My daughter is 3 and I still use these for various things. Only blankets I use for swaddling
These are the best blankets! They are stretchy yet stay tight around my baby to give him a great swaddle. I love that they are breathable so I don’t feel like they will suffocate him and they can be used for other purposes besides swaddling – a light blanket, using them to position the baby’s head in the car seat or carrier, spreading on a surface for diaper change, etc. We use them so often that we’re wearing them out and will certainly buy another pack when the time comes.—-My son is now 10 months and these blankets are still his favorite. They have turned into his “lovey” and he always sleeps and finds comfort with them. He chews on a blanket during teething, snuggles with a blanket during feeding, and instantly recognizes imposter blankets. They have held up really well to repeated washings and I love that we have four to make sure he always has his favorite blanky – daycare, in the car, at home, and one in the wash. I have a lot of favorite baby items but these are my go-to gift for friends that are becoming new parents.

Still in use every day
These muslin blankets are fantastic! Although soft out of the package, they continue softening with use- 11 mths in and they are simply luxurious. The prints haven’t faded at all, and although definitely worn in, they show no signs of wear- not a single loose thread. Initially, I used these to swaddle our newborn, and they’ve been subsequently used to cover babe when nursing in public, to block the sun/wind in the stroller or car seat (I drape the blanket as a canopy), to lay him down for diaper changes (they wash very well), and of course as great snuggley blankets. They are lightweight enough to use in the sweltering summer heat but work just as well as an extra layer of insulation under a heavier blanket in winter. I have several other Aden + Anais blankets that come from their “boutique” line (i.e. much pricier), and they haven’t worn nearly as well. Although the prints are a bit more attractive, the edging on those has shrunk significantly creating an oddly puckered shape. If I could think of a reason to buy more muslin blankets, I would forego the boutique and repurchase this 4 pack.

Love love love!
I am so glad I found these! It was so hard to find muslin swaddles that were blue without any pictures on them …I always saw gray or white, or the ones with animals and stuff on them. Whje I found these I was over the moon. They are so big!! That’s the best part! I use them to swaddle and also to cover up when I bf because it’s so lightweight and breathable. I purchased a nursing poncho but I don’t use it at all after getting these. I love the softness and I can tell my LO is comfortable in these.Update: it’s been one year and I still use these! They’re so soft after multiple washes and my LO does not sleep without it now.

Expensive but worth it!!! A must have for spring/summer babies!
I bought the Mod Turtle blankets on sale just to see what the hype was with these Aden & Anais swaddling blankets. I just had my baby a couple of weeks ago and had packed one of the blankets to use at the hospital. The designs on the blankets were cute and I liked the softness and lightness of the blanket which is great for warm/hot weather. I got nothing but compliments from the 10+ different nurses we had during our 3 day stay at the hospital on the blankets. My son had moderate jaundice and needed to get phototherapy treatment. He hated being in the incubator and cried nonstop but if he had a blanket lightly swaddled around him like a nest, he did fine. Of course, the Aden & Anais blanket went in the incubator where he received phototherapy treatment. Best of all, the lightweight, airy fabric was great because it allowed my son to get his treatment without overheating in the already super warm incubator with the blanket around him like a nest. The traditional flannel blankets would’ve been too bulky and add too much heat. Overall, I would recommend these blankets and they’re worth trying out!

Surprisingly worth every penny
I hate spending a lot of money on kids stuff that they will outgrow or that will wear out or just plain be useless. These blankets, however, make my short list of expensive baby stuff I wouldn’t live without (second only to a good swing/glider). They’re huge enough for swaddling until the baby is no longer soothed by swaddling. They’re thin enough for summer babies and California babies and California summer babies (as both of mine are). They’re perfect as a nursing shield, as a burp cloth, as a car seat cover, as a quickie car window shade, or as a changing mat or cover. They don’t seem to wear out, and they only get softer with every wash. In short, they kick the crap out of every other blanket we’ve ever owned, and I hoarded them closely after baby #1 outgrew them so that baby #2 could use them (as she’s doing now).For reference, we have eight: the packs that had the bumblebees, lions, turtles, giraffes, hippos, fish, and two plain whites. The ones I’ve seen in stores look smaller.

Classic, must-have new mom gift
Bought these for a mentee who had her first baby. I bought them for my first son and used them through my second. They are AWESOME and an absolute staple for any mom with any baby–unless you live in the Arctic. In any moderate climate, these are amazing because they breathe. As an Arizonan at the time, they were awesome baby blankets because I could use them to cover the carseat and provide privacy for the baby, without stifling him. THey work as a blanket, a layette, a swaddle, a floor play area, and really anything else you need. They’re huge, breathable, the colors are adorable, they wash well, and they last forever. My oldest is 5 and we’re still using them for my 16 month old frequently. LOVE THESE!

They are very cute. However, I purchased these specific Aden + Anais swaddle blankets because of how soft my other A+A swaddle blankets are. These are not as soft as the others and they have not softened with washing. If they weren’t as attractive looking I would return them.

Perfect for any time of the year!
I absolutely LOVE these blankets. So much so, that we give them out to all new parents. I LOVE that they can be used all year round and for multiple purposes. The size is great because most receiving blankets can’t even swaddle a baby because they’re too small and are just a joke. These have more than enough room to swaddle a baby. They’re also great for covering the carseat in the spring/summer months to keep the sun out of baby’s eyes without getting the baby too hot or restricting airflow. I’ve also used mine as a nursing cover when I couldn’t find mine AND because of it’s big size, it came in handy as a giant burp cloth on several occasions (just fold it a couple of times and it becomes the perfect size and is surprisingly absorbant!) I would definitely recommend this product to any new parent out there. It’s the perfect blanket and can fold down to a nice, compact size. LOVE it!

Multi purpose
I love the prints on these blankets and have gotten many compliments on them. I love that they are big enough to be multi purpose. I use them in the car as a cover while pumping, as a car seat cover to protect my baby from outside elements, as a burp cloth, and as a swaddling blanket. With swaddling, I will say that my son gets his hands free quite often as opposed to using the blankets they use in the hospital. I think it’s due to the stretch in the fabric but it’s probably also due to user error. This is also a great lightweight blanket, excellent for the 90 degree weather we are already experiencing in South Carolina in May. Overall I highly recommend these and you can’t go wrong with aden + anais coupled with Disney.

Great quality!
My son is 4 years old and still loves these. I just bought them again to replace the ones he’s been using since he was born. The quality is amazing. He uses them now as his comfort blankets. I tried buying similar cheaper blankets from a different brand and my son recognized the difference right away.

Beautiful, not soft
Had these with my eldest and they were the softest and of highest quality. Got these again and was disappointed to find the fabric is totally different, more like a summer blanket than muslin.
